SL34
Coffea arabica (Scott Labs selection)
Rich, full-bodied, juicy acidity.
SL34, also selected at Scott Agricultural Laboratories in the 1930s, was chosen from a single tree and, unlike SL28, tolerates higher rainfall and higher altitudes well. Genetic studies have shown it is closer to the Typica lineage than to Bourbon despite its field reputation. Planted alongside SL28 across Kenya's highlands, it contributes body and richness to the classic structured Kenyan profile.
