Glitch Coffee & Roasters
Tokyo roaster that championed bright, light, single-origin coffee in a tradition-bound market.
Glitch Coffee & Roasters was founded in Tokyo in 2015 by Kiyokazu Suzuki and became the city's most internationally celebrated light-roast specialist. In a Japanese market historically devoted to darker, kissaten-style coffee, Glitch's insistence on bright, delicate, single-origin roasting and detailed sourcing helped redefine what specialty coffee could be in Tokyo. Its Jimbocho flagship became a pilgrimage site for visiting coffee enthusiasts, and the roaster stands as a symbol of Japan's modern third-wave movement.
Origins they source from
Colombia
Huila
Colombia's most awarded department — sweet, complex washed coffees with caramel, red fruit, and bright acidity.
Ethiopia
Yirgacheffe
The benchmark for floral, tea-like washed Ethiopian coffee — jasmine, bergamot, and citrus over a silky body.
