The Kaffe grønn råkaffe 500g Bærtørket Etiopia represents a focused offering from the roaster Kaffa, highlighting the distinct character of Ethiopian coffee. This specific lot is processed using the bærtørket method, a traditional technique where the coffee cherry remains intact while drying. Generally, bærtørket or natural-processed coffees tend to exhibit heavier fruit profiles and increased sweetness compared to washed counterparts, as the bean absorbs sugars directly from the fruit pulp during the drying phase.

To better understand how this processing technique influences the final cup, you can explore our processing methods explainer. As you evaluate the nuances of this Ethiopian selection, we recommend referencing the flavor wheel to help identify and categorize the complex aromatic compounds often found in bærtørket coffees. This raw coffee provides a unique opportunity to experience the foundational qualities of Ethiopian origin through the lens of careful, traditional post-harvest handling.
