Eighthirty Coffee
Eighthirty Coffee is an Auckland-based specialty coffee roaster founded in 2009, known for quality sourcing, long-term origin partnerships, and community-focused hospitality.
Founded in 2009, Eighthirty Coffee began as a small two-person roasting operation on Karangahape Road in Auckland, New Zealand, and has since grown into a well-established specialty roaster with a loyal community of customers and wholesale partners. The roaster places strong emphasis on relationship coffee, maintaining ongoing partnerships with producers in Popayán, Colombia and the Caldas region of Brazil to support ethical sourcing and sustainable farming practices. One notable supply partner is Cofinet, a family-owned Colombian business specialising in innovative processing and sustainable coffee production. Beyond green coffee sourcing, Eighthirty extends its values throughout its business by working with Boring Oat Milk for alternative milk, using sustainable packaging from Decent Packaging, and investing in hands-on staff training. The roaster also sponsors Auckland's 95bFM Breakfast Show and supplies coffee to Outward Bound, a non-profit focused on youth development, reflecting a broader commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
