Mundo Novo
Coffea arabica var. mundo novo
Heavy body, low acidity, chocolate and nut.
Mundo Novo is a natural hybrid of Typica (Sumatra) and Bourbon discovered in Brazil in the 1940s and selected by the IAC, named after the town where it was found. Vigorous, tall, and very high-yielding, it became a pillar of Brazilian production and a parent of Catuaí. Its full body and sweet, nutty, low-acid cup are central to the classic Brazilian flavour that underpins countless espresso blends.
