Ethiosar refers to a group of breeding lines combining Sarchimor (rust resistance from the Timor Hybrid) with Ethiopian-landrace material to recover cup quality. Developed through programmes such as those associated with CIRAD and Central American institutes, these lines aim to deliver both leaf-rust resistance and the aromatic complexity of Ethiopian genetics, part of a broader effort to future-proof Arabica.
