Context
The Assembly x Mió — Selected Espresso represents a collaborative effort between Assembly Coffee and the Mió farm in Brazil. Sourced from the Brazil region, this lot is defined by a classic, comforting profile featuring notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut. While specialty coffee often explores a vast spectrum of acidity and brightness, traditional Brazilian profiles are frequently celebrated for their approachable sweetness and heavy, rounded body. These characteristics make such coffees a staple for espresso preparation, providing a stable foundation that pairs exceptionally well with milk. When evaluating the nuances of this selection, drinkers may find it helpful to reference the flavor wheel to better identify the specific expressions of nuttiness and sugar-browning present in the cup. This partnership highlights the consistency achievable through direct relationships between roasters and producers, resulting in a refined, balanced experience that remains true to its regional roots.
