Best if you:

✔ Drink flat whites / cappuccinos / espressos

✔ Like sweet, chocolatey flavours

The Mount Blend is one of our most popular coffees thanks to its low-acidity, subtle sweetness and the way it captures the rich flavours of South American coffee.

This coffee was created as a homage to our founder's late father who gave him his love of coffee. The name refers to Mount Maunganui where he lived, the perfect place to enjoy a coffee flanked by the volcano, blue sky and the Pacific Ocean.

It’s grown by a selection of specialist, mostly family-run farmers in Brazil, El Salvador and Colombia and roasted in small batches in Brixton to preserve the signature flavour.

You’ll taste silky milk chocolate, rich caramel and sweet red grapes from beans we sourced all over the region.

Best brewing methods:

✔ Espresso machine: highlights sweetness and body

✔ Cafetiere: for a full, rich cup

We recommend pairing with: A freshly baked croissant

Context

The Mount Blend, crafted by Volcano Coffee Works, represents a thoughtful composition of beans sourced from Brazil, El Salvador, and Colombia. By combining natural and semi-washed processing methods, this blend seeks to balance the distinct characteristics inherent to each origin. Generally, natural-processed coffees tend to show heavier fruit and sweetness, while semi-washed techniques often contribute to a cleaner, more balanced cup profile. To better understand how these specific techniques influence the final cup, you can explore our processing methods explainer.

In the cup, this blend highlights a classic profile of milk chocolate, red grapes, and caramel. These descriptors align with the foundational categories found on the flavor wheel, which serves as a helpful guide for identifying the nuanced notes present in such multi-origin offerings. By integrating diverse regional profiles, The Mount Blend offers a structured experience that bridges the gap between deep, sugary undertones and bright, fruit-forward acidity.
