Context

The Rise Up Blend, crafted by Volcano Coffee Works, represents a collaborative effort between two distinct origins: Brazil and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This blend draws from the expertise of Fazenda Mio and the Rebuild Women's Hope cooperative on Idjwi Island. By combining natural and washed processing methods, the roaster balances the inherent characteristics of each region to achieve a profile defined by raspberry candy, orange rind, and milk chocolate.

While natural-processed coffees often exhibit heavier fruit-forward qualities and washed coffees frequently highlight cleaner acidity, this blend integrates both to create a complex cup. When evaluating these specific notes, drinkers may find it helpful to reference the flavor wheel to better identify the nuances between the bright citrus of the orange rind and the deeper, comforting sweetness of the milk chocolate. This partnership highlights the diverse contributions of producers across two continents within a single, cohesive roast.
