Coffee Roots

Loud Mouth was born from competition and made for people who want their coffee to stand out. It’s bold, fun, and a little unexpected. This blend brings together two very different coffees: a smooth, washed coffee with hints of semi-sweet chocolate and citrus, and a wild, flavor-packed co-fermented coffee that steals the show.

Co-fermented? It’s a process where fruits, spices, or plants are added to the coffee during fermentation, after the cherry skin is removed, giving it unique flavors you won’t forget. Done right, it creates a coffee that’s aromatic and clear in flavor.

By blending it with a more classic coffee, we made this a bit more balanced and approachable, without losing that punch of personality. It’s amazing as an espresso, but also great as a pour over or drip. However you brew it, this coffee is here to perform.

Context

The Loudmouth Blend - Peach, crafted by Crimson Coffee, represents a unique approach to modern blending by combining beans from Guatemala and Colombia. Grown at 1700 masl, this selection utilizes a co-fermented process, a technique that integrates specific flavor profiles during the initial stages of production. While traditional washed coffees often highlight the inherent characteristics of the bean, processing methods like co-fermentation are increasingly used to introduce distinct, vibrant nuances to the final cup.

In the cup, this blend presents a profile defined by chocolate, sweetness, and citrus. When evaluating such complex profiles, it is helpful to consult a flavor wheel to better identify the interplay between the base notes and the added fruit characteristics. By bridging the structural depth of Latin American origins with the experimental nature of modern fermentation, this blend offers a balanced experience that bridges the gap between classic comfort and contemporary innovation.
