Elto, Elora RF8

At the heart of the Elto Coffee project, fermentation plays a key role in expressing the terroir. For our RF8 Natural batch, the cherries ferment naturally in airtight bags submerged in a river, before a slow drying process that preserves the aromatic richness developed during the process. In the cup, the coffee offers a sensation of sweetness. The cherry brings a bright, fruity sweetness; quickly followed by the dried rose, the cup takes on a delicate, fragrant, floral dimension. Finally, the bubblegum extends the sweetness into a gourmand, almost confectionery-like experience. A vibrant, surprising, and balanced coffee.

The Elto, Elora RF8, roasted by Dayglow, offers a distinct profile characterized by notes of cherry, dried rose, and bubblegum. As a natural-processed coffee, this selection highlights the impact of the drying method on the final cup; in natural-processed coffees, the coffee cherry is left intact during drying, which often imparts a heavier body and pronounced fruit-forward sweetness compared to washed counterparts.
