Women of Coffee: Peru

This limited edition series highlights women coffee farmers from around the world and rotates seasonally. We feature different geographies, seasonally, so you can enjoy coffees from a variety of regions. Having access to specialty coffee buyers like Sightglass ensures that producers are paid premiums for their outstanding quality. 

Our first release comes from Peru’s Finca Churumpapa Women’s Group. Finca Churumpapa operates a community training center in Chirinos focused on improving production practices and increasing coffee quality, helping farmers break cycles of poverty.

A portion of proceeds from this special coffee will be donated to La Cocina, a San Francisco-based non-profit business incubator supporting women, BIPOC, and immigrant food entrepreneurs.

This Peru lot from Sightglass Coffee highlights the work of the Finca Churumpapa Women's Group in Chirinos, bringing visibility to the producers shaping Peru's specialty coffee landscape. Women-focused cooperatives have become increasingly central to regional coffee communities, fostering both quality and economic opportunity. Chirinos, situated in Peru's northern highlands, is known for producing coffees with distinctive character. This lot represents direct partnership between roaster and producer group, emphasizing traceability and shared investment in the coffee's journey from farm to cup.
