North Star Coffee Roasters
North Star Coffee Roasters is a Leeds-based specialty coffee roastery founded in 2013 with a mission to create lasting value for everyone connected to the coffee supply chain.

Founded in Leeds in 2013, North Star Coffee Roasters was established on the belief that coffee should create lasting value for producers, partners, and consumers alike. The roastery grew out of its founders' early experiences in coffee-growing communities, where they witnessed both the extraordinary people behind coffee and the pressures threatening the industry's future. From the outset, North Star's ambition extended beyond roasting quality coffee to building a more viable and transparent supply chain through long-term producer relationships and meaningful impact. Shaped by Leeds' independent hospitality culture, the business has expanded from a small specialty roastery into an operation encompassing sourcing, roasting, wholesale partnerships, hospitality, and coffee education, including its own North Star Coffee Academy. The roastery runs dedicated impact projects in El Salvador, Rwanda, and Timor-Leste, and prioritises paying producers in ways that support the long-term strength of their businesses. Throughout its growth, North Star has aimed to make specialty coffee more open and approachable without sacrificing the craft and depth that defines it.
