RAW Coffee Company is a home-grown UAE brand recognized as a market leader in specialty coffee across the Middle East and North Africa region. The company is owned and operated by Kim Thompson and Matt Toogood, both holders of the first International Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Diploma qualifications in the MENA region. RAW operates from a custom-built 13,500 sq ft working roastery café in Al Quoz, which also houses an SCA premier training campus serving coffee professionals and home enthusiasts. The company's core activities include ethically sourcing, roasting, and supplying premium coffee to local B2B and B2C markets, with an emphasis on sustainability, consistency, and direct relationships with growers at origin. RAW has received numerous accolades, including the 2022 BBC Good Food Best Homegrown Coffee Roastery award, the 2023 Mastercard Female F&B Leader MENA award for Kim Thompson, and multiple UAE Coffee Championship titles.
