Context
High Tide is a signature blend from Bard Coffee that draws its character from a curated selection of origins across Central America and East Africa. By combining beans from these two distinct coffee-growing regions, the blend aims to balance the bright, acidic profiles often associated with East African harvests with the structured, cocoa-forward foundations typical of Central American lots. The resulting cup features a profile defined by red berries, citrus, and dark chocolate.
When evaluating such complex blends, it is helpful to consider how different processing methods and regional climates influence the final cup. While Central American coffees are frequently celebrated for their balanced sweetness and body, East African varieties are often sought after for their vibrant, fruit-forward acidity. To better understand how these specific descriptors fit into the broader spectrum of coffee quality and sensory analysis, you can reference the flavor wheel to explore the nuances of these flavor categories.
