From the roaster
This coffee was processed by the Kindeng dry mill, in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. They work with 1,500 smallholders in the Kindeng and Arufa municipalities. The producers sell coffee cherry to the mill who then sort and dry on raised beds, regularly raking the coffee throughout the day to ensure even drying.
This lot is sweet and funky, with chocolate notes and a cranberry acidity.

Context
Sourced from the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea, the Kindeng lot represents the distinct profile of the region’s coffee production. Processed at the Kindeng dry mill, this selection utilizes the natural method, which often imparts a unique complexity to the cup. While natural-processed coffees tend to show heavier fruit and deeper sweetness compared to washed counterparts, you can explore the nuances of these techniques in our processing methods explainer.
Caravan Coffee Roasters (/shop/roasters/caravan-coffee-roasters) highlights a profile defined by sweet, funky characteristics balanced by chocolate notes and a bright cranberry acidity. To better identify these specific attributes when brewing, we recommend referencing our flavor wheel to help categorize the sensory experience.
