Peru The Andes Washed
Roasted by Cat & Cloud Coffee
Washed Peruvian coffee with cherry, honey, and nougat flavors.

From the roaster
The Andes washed coffee is a perfect example of the approachable everyday profile you can expect at Cat & Cloud. It’s a versatile roast that opens with the tartness of fresh, ripe cherry, and as it cools, it blends harmoniously with the subtle florality of wildflower honey. A nougat-like finish adds a layer of sweetness that pairs well with cream and sugar. An excellent coffee for enthusiasts who are familiar with lighter coffees and enjoy a balanced cup.
This coffee is a reflection of the organic and sustainable practices at the Cenfrocafe cooperative, which are key to the success of both the co-op and its growers. The cooperative has built its operations around cupping, precise lot separation and preparation. In fact, their cuppers were among the first to become Q-certified in Peru. The region has only been developed over the last 30 years, and the small holding producers that operate in the area are paid premiums for each level of quality they achieve. The stability of the co-op’s membership, in the face of volatile markets, is a testament to the strength of their support for growers.

Context
Peru The Andes comes from Cenfrocafe cooperative, sourced from high-altitude terrain in the Andean region. The washed process shapes a clean, defined cup that highlights the origin's fruit-forward character—here expressed through cherry notes alongside wildflower honey sweetness and a nougat-like body. This profile is typical of washed coffees, which tend to emphasize clarity and brightness compared to other processing methods.
Cat & Cloud Coffee's roasting strategy has brought forward the cooperative's terroir without heavy roasting marks, allowing the delicate floral and stone-fruit aromatics to remain prominent. The combination of cherry, honey, and nougat suggests a balanced cup with both brightness and textural weight—an approachable expression of Peruvian mountain coffee.
