Timor-Leste - Rotutu - Washed & Natural Bundle
Roasted by Dear Green Coffee
This bundle features two processes of the same Rotutu coffee from Timor-Leste to explore how processing shapes flavour profiles.

From the roaster
Two processes, one coffee.
This bundle brings together two processes of the same Rotutu coffee from Timor-Leste: one washed, one natural. Same origin, same producers, completely different flavours profiles.
The washed lot is clean and structured, with bright citrus, soft apricot sweetness, and a gentle rooibos finish. The natural lot leans fuller and more fruit-forward, with juicy red grape, tropical passionfruit, and a deep treacle sweetness with a syrupy body.
Sourced through Karst Organics, both coffees come from a collective of 140+ households in the Letefoho region. Their long-term work with the Rotutu community focuses on improving quality, infrastructure, and ensuring fair, consistent payment for producers.
A simple way to explore how processing shapes flavour. Plus enjoy 15% off when you buy them together.

Context
This bundle from the Rotutu community in the Letefoho region of Timor-Leste offers a unique opportunity to explore the impact of processing methods on regional character. Sourced by Dear Green Coffee, these coffees showcase the diverse profile of the area, ranging from bright citrus and tropical passionfruit to the deeper, lingering treacle sweetness found in the cup. While washed coffees are often celebrated for their clean acidity and clarity, natural-processed coffees tend to show heavier fruit notes and increased body.
To better understand how these specific characteristics—such as the notes of rooibos, juicy red grape, and soft apricot—fit into the broader spectrum of coffee profiles, we recommend referencing the flavor wheel. By comparing the washed and natural components of this bundle, enthusiasts can gain a clearer perspective on how post-harvest techniques influence the final sensory experience of beans grown in the unique terroir of Timor-Leste.
