Filter B, Brazil
Roasted by MOK Coffee
100% Brazil from D'Barbosa in Cerrado region with full body and distinct terroir.

From the roaster
Filter B stands for 100% Brazil, no blends, all credits to the producers. We work with the same producers every year and aim for the best possible quality only.
Brazil is the largest coffee growing country in the world and lots from the Cerrado region are highly acclaimed. We have been annual partners of D’Barbosa since 2020 and their coffees are among the best in the region, invariably offering high quality cups with the unmistakable Cerrado terroir: full bodied cups showcasing flavours of ripe red fruit, hazelnut and chocolate. It draws these unique flavours from its excellent growing conditions. Cerrado lies in the savanna, a tropical, vast grassland with patches of trees and small forests on it, which experiences a rainy and a dry season and a warm annual temperature. In the dry season, the trees are forced to grow deeper roots, where they find plenty more nutrients. The farm has been in the family since the early 1900s and all experience and valuable knowledge are passed on from generation through generation
We have sourced this coffee through our importing partner Sucafina.

Context
Filter B from MOK Coffee represents a natural-processed offering from Brazil's Cerrado region, roasted to emphasize the producer D'Barbosa's lot characteristics. The roaster identifies ripe red fruit, hazelnut, and chocolate in the cup—a combination typical of many natural-processed coffees, which tend toward fuller body and pronounced fruit-forward notes. Cerrado Mineiro, located in southeastern Brazil, is known for producing coffees with balanced sweetness and structure. This lot bridges approachable flavors with the regional profile, making it suitable for filter brewing where clarity of fruit and chocolate can develop alongside the nutty foundation MOK Coffee has highlighted in their roast.
