Ditta Artigianale

Ditta Artigianale is a Florence-based Italian specialty coffee micro-roastery founded in 2013, dedicated to sourcing exclusive micro-lots and promoting transparency and sustainability across the entire coffee supply chain.

Founded in 2013 by multi-award-winning barista champion and taster Francesco Sanapo and Patrick Hoffer, Ditta Artigianale began as a micro-roastery with the mission of introducing high-quality specialty coffee to the Italian and European markets. The founders, after years of research and study into different coffee cultures around the world, sought to apply the specialty coffee model with a commitment to full transparency and sustainability at every stage of production. Following the establishment of the roastery, Ditta Artigianale expanded into retail by opening its first coffee bar on Via de' Neri in Florence, eventually growing to five locations in the city. The roastery focuses on sourcing exclusive micro-lots through direct relationships with individual producers, carefully roasting each coffee to highlight its unique characteristics, and serving it directly to consumers. Ditta Artigianale describes itself as an Italian roastery with an international vision, emphasizing coffee education and culture alongside its retail and roasting operations.
