Nomad Coffee, led by Jordi Mestre, grew out of Barcelona's early specialty scene (with roots in the pioneering Right Side/Cup of Excellence-linked efforts) and became one of the city's most influential roasters. Known for clean, light roasting and an independent, design-conscious identity, Nomad helped establish Barcelona as a serious specialty city in the 2010s and trained many of the baristas who spread the movement across Spain.
