Context

The GOLD LABEL Kenya: Kiawamaruru AA - Lot 64 represents a distinct selection from the Nyeri region, an area globally recognized for producing coffees with vibrant acidity and complex, layered profiles. Roasted by Keia & Martyn's Coffee, this specific lot highlights the bright, fruit-forward characteristics often associated with high-quality Kenyan exports. The cup profile features a lively interplay of cranberry juice, hibiscus tea, and pink rose, balanced by the crispness of Granny Smith apple and the effervescent quality of sparkling grapefruit soda.

When evaluating such nuanced profiles, enthusiasts often consult a flavor wheel to better categorize the interplay between floral aromatics and sharp, citrus-driven acidity. While Kenyan coffees are frequently celebrated for their intense, wine-like brightness, the specific sensory experience of this lot offers a refined clarity that bridges the gap between delicate botanical notes and refreshing, soda-like acidity.
