Named after the oldest coffee variety grown in the region, Adsenia yields a cup that is full-bodied and balanced with notes of chocolate, vanilla and black pepper. This organic Sumatra from Buddy Brew Coffee sources its beans from the Ketiara Cooperative in the Takengon Highlands of Aceh Province—a renowned coffee region in Indonesia's Sumatra. The Adsenia varietal grows at 1300–1600 meters above sea level, where cooler temperatures encourage complexity in the cup.

The coffee undergoes wet hulling and patio drying, traditional processing methods that emphasize body and earthiness. The roaster identifies prominent notes of chocolate, vanilla, and black pepper, alongside cocoa powder and molasses—a profile characteristic of coffees from this region that balance sweetness with substantial structure.
