Context
The Colombia Community, sourced by Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Co., represents the distinct profile of the Monserrate region. Located within the broader Colombia · Monserrate landscape, this coffee is prepared using the washed process, a method typically employed to highlight a clean cup profile and vibrant acidity. By removing the fruit flesh before drying, producers often achieve a clarity that allows the inherent characteristics of the bean to shine through.
In the cup, this selection presents a balanced interplay of apple, orange, and chocolate notes. These descriptors align with the fruit and cocoa categories found on the flavor wheel, offering a classic profile that many enthusiasts associate with high-quality Colombian harvests.
