Context

This selection from producer Francisco Alvarado highlights the distinct terroir of Masaguara, Intibucá, a region within Honduras known for its high-elevation coffee cultivation. Grown at 1700 masl, this lot represents the meticulous work of Alvarado, whose commitment to quality is showcased through this partnership with Round Hill Roastery. Coffees from this specific micro-climate often benefit from the cool, stable temperatures found at such elevations, which can contribute to a slower maturation of the coffee cherry and a more complex development of sugars.

When evaluating the nuances of this particular harvest, tasters may find it helpful to reference the flavor wheel to identify the specific aromatic compounds present in the cup. While every harvest is unique, coffees from the Intibucá department are frequently recognized for their balanced profiles and bright acidity. This offering serves as a compelling example of the potential found in the high-altitude landscapes of Honduras.
