This remote region extends into the clouds, around 3,000 meters above sea level, where potatoes and tubers are the only crops grown. At coffee-growing heights, coffee is interspersed with sugar cane production for their own use. The recent completion of a new road has improved market access and producers here have embraced the specialty coffee market.
This community lot is distinctive and balanced: plenty full-bodied with a nice tartness (cherry-like) and candied citrus sweetness.
