Brandywine Coffee Roasters operates a combined roasting and screen-printing operation in Wilmington, Delaware, just outside the Brandywine Valley. The roastery emphasizes creativity, kindness, and intentional sourcing, describing its team as "coffee mystics" dedicated to responsibly sourced beans. Each bag is hand screen-printed daily and features original illustrations by local Delaware artist Todd Purse, reinforcing the philosophy that every coffee release is itself a work of art. On the roasting side, the team favors light roast profiles designed to highlight the natural flavors, sweetness, and complexity inherent to each individual coffee, deliberately avoiding bitterness. Small-batch roasting is carried out on a Loring Falcon 15-kilo roaster with an oxygen-free Flavor Lock environment. Master roaster Vic Scutari brings over 14 years of roasting and green-bean sourcing experience to the operation. Brandywine views roasting as both a science and an art, committing to continuous learning and growth.
