We met Enrique during our first trip to Colombia in 2019 and were immediately taken by his meticulous processing but came to find he is also growing some really exciting varietals to go with that meticulous processing. Fast forward two years and he is producing some of the most stunning coffees in Colombia with so many more treats still to come.

In the future we expect to purchase most of Enrique's coffees as more of his trees begin to mature and his crop size expands. Some of those future varietals we are looking forward to include Gesha, Caturra Chiroso and Bourbon Sidra.

This washed Bourbon Sidra from La Pradera in Huila showcases the expressive character that Bourbon Sidra can deliver at elevation. The varietal's natural tendency toward wine-forward, fruit-driven profiles emerges clearly in Little Wolf Coffee's tasting notes—sangria and date suggest both the darker fruit intensity and slight oxidative complexity that washed processing in this Colombian region can accentuate. Grown at 1,900 meters, the coffee benefits from the cooler growing conditions typical of Huila's higher zones, which support longer fruit development on the bean. The winey descriptor points to the subtle fermentative notes that Bourbon Sidra is known for, making this a compelling choice for those drawn to bold, fruit-forward profiles with subtle complexity.
