Context

Produced by Rubén Dario Gómez in the Caicedo region of Antioquia, Colombia, this Bourbon lot showcases the vibrant potential of high-quality Colombian coffee. As a washed coffee, it emphasizes a clean, crisp profile that allows the inherent sweetness and acidity of the bean to shine. Partners Coffee highlights a complex array of fruit-forward characteristics, ranging from stone fruits like peach to bright citrus notes of lime and orange, balanced by the deep, sugary undertones of panela and caramel.

While Colombia · Caicedo, Antioquia is known for diverse microclimates that influence cup character, the Bourbon variety is historically celebrated for its balanced body and nuanced sweetness. To better understand how these specific descriptors align with broader industry standards, tasters may find it helpful to reference the flavor wheel when exploring the interplay between the tropical mango and pineapple notes and the underlying caramel finish found in this particular harvest.
