From the roaster

I used to roast this coffee a tad bit darker but it's been trending lighter over time. Now that jawn is out this coffee can be a true third wave type of espresso. I generally have refered to this coffee as a fully developed light roast. We're looking at an excellent chocolatey espresso with a nice dry finish but also clean and no bite. This is another fincas miersich coffee from the Placeres farm.

If spro is not your thing it's great for drip!

Also it's not a blend, stop calling it that.

Context

The House Coffee, produced by Fincas Miersich and roasted by Royal Mile Coffee, offers a profile defined by its chocolatey character. When evaluating coffees with such distinct flavor profiles, it is helpful to reference the flavor wheel to better identify the specific nuances within the broader chocolate category, which can range from deep, bittersweet cocoa to lighter, milk-chocolate sweetness.

While chocolate notes are often associated with coffees from regions known for heavy body and low acidity, the final expression in the cup is heavily influenced by the producer's processing methods and the roaster's specific approach to heat application. By focusing on these foundational elements, drinkers can better appreciate how the work of Fincas Miersich translates into the final roast. This selection serves as a reliable example of a classic, approachable profile that prioritizes comfort and consistency in the daily brewing routine.
