Context

The 2026 Yessica Parra release from Sey Coffee highlights a meticulous production from the El Mirador farm in Colombia. This lot features the Gesha varietal, a plant widely celebrated in specialty coffee for its distinct, tea-like clarity and delicate aromatic profile. When evaluating such refined coffees, enthusiasts often look for the nuanced interplay between acidity and sweetness, which can be mapped against the flavor wheel to better understand the cup's complexity.

In this specific offering, the profile presents a sophisticated balance of white florals, ripe apricot, lemon verbena, and white sugar. While Gesha is prized for its inherent elegance, the specific character of a cup is always a reflection of the unique conditions at El Mirador and the careful processing decisions made by producer Yessica Parra. This coffee serves as a compelling example of how high-quality cultivation practices can elevate the inherent traits of the Gesha variety.
