From the roaster

Gogogu hails from the famous Guji region of Ethiopia, renowned for its bright, clean and flavour-dense coffee. The Gogogu is a perfect representation of what we here at Bonanza strive for, a coffee that is both easy-going and complex, that can satisfy the more traditional palates, as well as the more experienced coffee-drinkers, all in a wonderfully sweet and round coffee, with beautiful flavour clarity and complexity. The Gogogu works perfectly as black espresso, as a base for milk drinks, or as filter. We are delighted to offer this coffee all year round as an essential part of our range.

Gogogu comes in our regular bags, both as 250g or 1kg, and in the "RE-USE & REFILL" 400g glass jar.

Bonanza Coffee Roasters

Context

Gogogu from Bonanza Coffee Roasters showcases the natural-processed coffees of Ethiopia's Guji region, where fermentation-forward preparation methods tend to amplify fruit-forward character and body. Bonanza's tasting notes of brightness and cleanliness suggest a well-managed fermentation that avoids heaviness while preserving the region's inherent sweetness. The round mouthfeel is characteristic of natural processing, where extended fruit contact develops fuller texture alongside the varietal's inherent complexity.

Natural-processed Ethiopian coffees often balance wild, fruited aromatics with tea-like clarity, and this lot appears positioned in that spectrum. To explore the full sensory dimensions, reference the flavor wheel alongside Bonanza's tasting profile.
