The cup offers smooth acidity, a round body, and a rich dark chocolate-cherry core with a hint of orange.

Context
This Costa Rican coffee from Dota, San José showcases the classic balance that George Howell Coffee brings to their roasting. The medium roast bridges bright acidity with deeper sweetness, expressing a profile of dark chocolate, cherry, and orange—a combination that highlights both the origin's inherent fruit character and the roaster's development choices. Coffees from the Dota region tend toward such layered complexity, where chocolate undertones support rather than overshadow the citrus and stone-fruit notes. This tasting profile suggests a coffee suited to both filter and espresso preparation, with enough body to stand alone and enough clarity to pair thoughtfully with food.
