Process: Natural

Alpha is our answer to the classic espresso blend. Naturally processed coffees from Brazil and Ethiopia marry to make a coffee rich in milk chocolate, complemented with the delicate sweetness of dark berries. The result is a balanced, full bodied coffee perfect for espresso, but feel free to enjoy it any which way you like (we hear it’s especially good as cold brew).

Gracenote Coffee

Context

Alpha is a natural-processed coffee from Brazil's Mogiana region, roasted by Gracenote Coffee. Natural processing—where beans ferment inside the fruit before drying—typically encourages pronounced fruit-forward profiles and heavier body. Gracenote identifies milk chocolate, strawberry, lavender, and marzipan in the cup, a combination that suggests both confectionary sweetness and floral complexity.

The Mogiana region is known for producing coffees with balanced sweetness and structured acidity. This lot's flavor character reflects both the terroir's inherent traits and the expressive potential of natural processing. Explore these flavors using the sensory wheel to calibrate your tasting approach.
