Context

Sourced from the renowned Colombia · Huila region, this offering from Keia & Martyn's Coffee showcases the classic profile of the Caturra varietal. As a washed coffee, it undergoes a meticulous processing method that typically emphasizes a clean, balanced cup profile, allowing the inherent characteristics of the bean to shine through without the influence of fruit fermentation often found in natural-processed lots.

In the cup, this selection presents a sophisticated interplay of delicate floral aromatics like magnolia petals and bright, soft citrus, grounded by the comforting richness of bittersweet chocolate and buttery caramel. These nuanced flavors can be mapped across the flavor wheel to better understand the complexity of the Huila terroir. By focusing on the traditional washed approach, this coffee highlights the clarity and structural elegance that have made Caturra a staple for producers seeking to balance sweetness and acidity in their harvests.
