Context
Produced by Graciano Cruz in the Boquete region of Panama · Boquete, Chiriquí, the Los Lajones Bambu is a standout example of the Geisha varietal. This specific lot is cultivated at 1800 masl and undergoes a natural process, a method often associated with enhancing the inherent sweetness and complexity of the bean. When roasted by L'Arbre à Café, the coffee expresses a vibrant profile characterized by fresh lavender, bright citrus, ripe peach, and juicy cherry.
While Geisha is globally prized for its distinct floral and tea-like clarity, natural-processed coffees often exhibit a heavier body and intensified fruit-forward characteristics. To better understand how these specific descriptors align with broader sensory profiles, enthusiasts can consult the flavor wheel. This combination of high-altitude terroir and meticulous post-harvest handling highlights the unique potential of the Chiriquí region, offering a refined experience for those who appreciate the nuanced interplay between varietal genetics and traditional processing techniques.
