From the roaster
Juneteenth Limited Release Kenya Kericho Boma AB Light- Medium Roast Notes: Hibiscus, Cherry, Caramel 10 oz.
Every year, our Juneteenth Limited Release celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of opportunity. This year's offering comes from Kenya's Kericho County, where 430 smallholder farmers organized through the Boma Farmers Cooperative Society cultivate coffee in the fertile volcanic soils of western Kenya.
In the cup, you'll find vibrant notes of juicy hibiscus and ripe cherry balanced by warm baking spice and a smooth caramel sweetness. The result is a coffee that is bright, expressive, and layered with complexity from the first sip to the last.
Grown at elevations ranging from 1,550 to 1,950 meters above sea level and fully washed before drying on raised beds, this coffee showcases the clarity and character that have made Kenyan coffees some of the most celebrated in the world.

Context
Red Bay Coffee's Juneteenth Limited Release showcases washed-process coffee from the Boma Farmers Cooperative Society in Kericho County, Kenya, grown at elevations between 1550–1950 meters. The washed processing method typically emphasizes clarity and brightness in the cup, and this lot reflects that character through its aromatic profile of hibiscus and cherry, rounded by caramel sweetness and warming baking spice notes. The combination of bright fruit with structured spice suggests a well-balanced coffee that bridges floral and warming dimensions—a profile well-suited to the cooperative's terroir in Kenya's established coffee region.
