Context
The Arsosala Reserve, sourced from the Arsosala Washing Station in the Ethiopia · Guji region, represents a focused selection from one of the country’s most dynamic coffee-producing areas. As a specialty offering from The Barn, this lot highlights the distinct character often associated with high-quality Ethiopian harvests. Coffees from Guji are frequently celebrated for their complex profiles, which can range from bright, citrus-forward acidity to deep, floral aromatics.
When evaluating the specific nuances of a coffee like this, it is helpful to reference the flavor wheel to better identify the subtle layers of fruit and spice that define its cup profile. While general processing methods—such as washed or natural—often dictate the final body and sweetness of a brew, the terroir of the Guji zone remains a primary driver of the unique clarity found in these beans. This reserve serves as a testament to the meticulous processing standards maintained at the Arsosala station.
