This coffee is grown at Fazenda Catanduva in the high Cerrado (1000 masl) and carefully processed to highlight the farm’s meticulous care, this coffee is everything we love about Brazil.

Fazenda Catanduva farm has been a family passion for generations. Marie Nakao, a third-generation coffee producer, continues the legacy her grandparents began when they migrated from Japan to Brazil in the early 1900s. Settling in Catanduva, they discovered a love for coffee that would shape the family’s future. Today, under Marie’s leadership, the farm combines traditional care with modern, sustainable practices. Situated at over 1,000 meters above sea level in Cerrado Mineiro, the farm benefits from the region’s distinct seasons, flat terrain and ideal microclimate, conditions that consistently produce high-quality coffee.

Context

Produced by Marie Nakao in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil, the Catanduva lot represents a classic expression of the Catuai varietal grown at 1000 masl. This coffee is prepared using the natural process, a technique where the coffee cherry is dried intact around the seed, which often contributes to a fuller body and increased sweetness in the final cup. You can learn more about how these processing methods influence the final profile in our technical guide.

Roasted by Coaltown Coffee, this selection highlights notes of orange, molasses, and chocolate cashew.
