Context
This washed coffee from Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta comes from ANEI, a producer in one of the country's most distinctive mountain regions. Grown on the slopes of the world's highest coastal mountain range, Sierra Nevada coffees benefit from unique microclimates that shape their character. Dear Green Coffee has selected this organically-grown lot and brought it through washed processing, a method that typically emphasizes clarity and cleaner fruit expression compared to natural or honey-processed alternatives.
The washed approach allows the terroir and elevation characteristics of this particular mountain origin to come through distinctly. Whether you're exploring the range of Colombian regional profiles or investigating how processing choices influence flavor, this lot offers a direct window into what the Sierra Nevada—and ANEI's farming practices—contribute to the cup.
