Roasted by Five Senses
Natural process Brazil coffee from third-generation family farm with blackberry and honeysuckle notes.

From the roaster
Blackberry, lemon curd & honeysuckle.
As a third-generation coffee farmer in Brazil, Rayane was born and raised surrounded by coffee. We’re thrilled to share this one of two beautiful Brazil coffees won at the Best SanCup Auction through our longstanding partner SanCoffee. Sítio 5 Estrelas (pronounced Sítio Cinco Estrelas) is a small family-owned farm that has spanned generations. The family’s passion for producing high-quality coffee is more alive than ever with Rayane. Encouraged by her parents and grandparents from a young age, she immersed herself in every aspect of running the family farm. Looking for innovation and improvement for the coffee family business, she studied agronomy and introduced new technology to elevate the production of specialty coffee on the farm. Rayane was part of SanCoffee’s ‘Beyond Borders’ program showcasing incredible smallholder producers in Brazil.

Context
This natural-processed Brazilian coffee from Sitio 5 Estrelas arrives roasted by Five Senses with a distinctive flavor profile that blends dark fruit with bright citrus and floral notes. Natural processing tends to amplify fruit-forward characteristics, and this lot reflects that tendency through its blackberry and lemon curd expression, rounded out by honeysuckle's delicate sweetness. The combination suggests a coffee where the fermentation inherent to natural processing has created complexity without overshadowing the origin character of Brazilian coffee. These flavors are best understood alongside the coffee flavor wheel, which helps contextualize how fruit, citrus, and floral descriptors map across the sensory spectrum.
