The Sigri Estate farmers work very hard to ensure the greatest quality of coffee, while also engaging in multiple social projects around the community such as building schools and putting in clean sources of water. They do excellent work to provide such excellent coffee from an extremely unique origin and micro-climate.
Natural Process lots from Sigri Estate are generally only available by special order (pre-harvest) due to how difficult it is to process “naturals” in the extremely humid climate of Papua New Guinea.
However, they have worked for years to develop a drying bed system that consistently delivers an extremely bright and fruit forward flavour that is rare to find from this region.

Context
This natural-processed coffee from Sigri Estate in Papua New Guinea's Wahgi Valley offers a distinctive profile built on the interplay of bright fruit and charred sweetness. The Typica-Peaberry varietal—a single-seed bean form occasionally found in coffee plants—contributes to the lot's character, while the natural processing method typically emphasizes fruit-forward qualities and body. Nightjar Coffee's tasting notes of cranberry and lime suggest bright acidity, anchored by the savory, caramelized notes of burnt honeycomb, creating a complex cup that balances delicacy with depth. This combination makes it an approachable entry point into Papua New Guinea coffees, which are often prized for their balance and subtle fruit expression.
