We chose this Ethiopia Udeyi as our 2025 Anniversary Roast to celebrate more than two decades of vibrant, expressive coffees! Aromatic and fruit-forward, this vibrant natural process coffee bursts with dried fruits, ripe blueberry, and a smooth hint of vanilla.

The Ethiopia Udeyi Espresso - Anniversary Roast, crafted by 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters, highlights the vibrant character of beans sourced from Ethiopia. This specific lot utilizes the natural process, a method where the coffee cherry remains intact while drying, often allowing the bean to absorb the sugars and fruit-forward qualities of the fruit pulp. In the cup, this results in a profile defined by notes of blueberry, peach, vanilla, and dried fruits, complemented by a distinct floral quality.

When evaluating such complex profiles, enthusiasts often consult the flavor wheel to better identify these nuanced characteristics. While natural-processed coffees from this region are frequently celebrated for their heavy fruit intensity and sweetness, the Anniversary Roast offers a refined expression of these traditional traits.
