From the roaster
Dear god. What a coffee. It's hard to put into words how much is going on here so I won't. Sorry. On the bag I describe an explosion of flavor in your mouth and I don't think i'm very wrong. It goes the gesha and galaxy hop thing which is very bright and floral to 10. It also does lime, tangerine, margaritas, jasmine, hops, beer.
We carried the Pink Bourbon version of this last year. 8oz.
Limited to a degree. It's posted 1/19. Don't expect this to be here by 1/30 but anything is possible.

Context
Produced by Edwin Norena in Colombia, this unique lot showcases the intersection of innovative processing and high-quality cultivation. As a Gesha varietal, the coffee is inherently prized for its delicate, floral, and tea-like clarity. By utilizing carbonic maceration—a technique that involves fermenting whole cherries in a carbon dioxide-rich environment—Norena has pushed the boundaries of traditional flavor profiles. This specific Royal Mile Coffee offering presents a complex sensory experience, featuring bright notes of lime, tangerine, and jasmine, alongside distinct characteristics reminiscent of margaritas, hops, and beer.
When exploring such unconventional profiles, it is helpful to consult a flavor wheel to better categorize the interplay between the varietal’s natural elegance and the intense, fermentation-driven aromatics. This coffee serves as a compelling example of how modern processing methods can transform the cup, offering a vibrant and experimental departure from standard regional expectations.
