From the roaster

There's a farm name but it's going to make for too long a name so I just put the region. There are no regional honey process geshas.

This gesha is a bit cool in that it's more process driven than varietal, I guess. I got vanilla, creamy, as always with the honeys some kind of caramel/toasted thing, which puts this into normie coffee land but there's some jasmine and sweetness alongside the tea thing that reminds you oh yeah it's still a gesha. Just not a bouquet of flowers gesha. It's a dollar less because i'm sure people will be NOT MY GESHSLKHJLKJARA because it's not washed and flowers to the face.

All roasted July 28th. Limited amount. 6oz.

Context

The Colombia Hulia Honey Process Gesha, offered by Royal Mile Coffee, represents a sophisticated intersection of regional terroir and meticulous post-harvest handling. Sourced from the Colombia · Hulia region, this lot utilizes the Gesha varietal, a plant often celebrated in the industry for its distinct floral and tea-like clarity. By employing the honey process—a method that leaves a portion of the coffee cherry’s mucilage on the bean during drying—producers can influence the final cup profile, often bridging the gap between the brightness of washed coffees and the intensity of naturals. For those exploring the nuances of this specific roast, the tasting notes of vanilla, creamy caramel, and jasmine offer a complex sensory experience. To better understand how these descriptors align with broader industry standards, enthusiasts may find it helpful to reference the flavor wheel when evaluating the balance of sweetness and toasted aromatics present in this cup.
