From the roaster
Sup. Do you like pacamaras? You should. yes. Y-O-U. I know el salvador and centrals can be a bit "normie coffee" but pacamaras are where it's at there. Some cool top end "what's this/that?" notes alongside a really nice amount of sweetness, some plum and chocolates alongside even a little herbal tea but not at all tea like. That said it does taste like coffee for those wanting sort of that normal good coffee experience. I really like pac's and this one is great.

Context
The El Salvador Miravelles Pacamara, sourced by Royal Mile Coffee, offers a compelling look at one of the most distinct cultivars in Central America. The Pacamara varietal is a deliberate cross between the Pacas and Maragogype plants, often recognized for its oversized beans and a complex, layered profile that frequently bridges the gap between deep, savory undertones and bright, fruit-forward acidity.
In this specific offering, the cup presents a nuanced interplay of plum, chocolates, and herbal tea. These descriptors highlight the variety's capacity for depth, moving beyond simple sweetness to incorporate more sophisticated, botanical elements. For those looking to better understand how these specific characteristics map onto broader sensory experiences, consulting a flavor wheel can be an excellent way to categorize the subtle herbal and stone fruit notes found in this harvest. This coffee serves as a refined example of how regional terroir and careful processing can elevate the inherent traits of this unique hybrid.
