Featuring our two seasonal limited edition Honduras Espresso and Filter:

1. Honduras Piedras Amarillas Espresso: This is a beautiful washed lot, a blend of pacas and bourbon varietals. Sometimes we prefer to separate the varieties, other times they are both so good and complementary, that we blend them together to create a slightly larger micro lot. Here we find an elegant and plush espresso coffee with peach and strawberry jam notes.

2. Honduras El Ocotillo: This washed coffee from El Ocotillo shows notes of lychee, citrus fruits and fruit juice. We developed a light profile for this lot to present a fruit forward yet balanced cup.

The Honduras Duo, sourced by 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters, highlights the vibrant potential of beans grown in Honduras. This specific lot undergoes a washed process, a method typically employed to emphasize a coffee’s inherent acidity and clean, crisp profile. By removing the fruit flesh before drying, producers can often achieve a more focused expression of the bean's terroir.

In the cup, this selection presents a bright, fruit-forward character, featuring notes of peach, strawberry jam, lychee, and citrus. While washed coffees are often celebrated for their clarity and refined structure, the intensity of these fruit-driven flavors invites a closer look at the flavor wheel to identify the nuances of each profile.
