Dogwood Coffee

Context

This decaf from Dogwood Coffee sources from multiple small farmers in Huila, Colombia, where the Caturra varietal thrives. The coffee undergoes a fully washed process followed by sugar cane decaffeination, a method designed to preserve the bean's inherent sweetness while removing caffeine. Natural decafs can sometimes struggle to retain complexity, but this lot emphasizes approachable, indulgent notes of churro and caramel—suggesting the processing has captured the varietal's inherent sweetness rather than obscuring it with residual chemical flavors.
