Context

Sourced from the smallholder farmers of Tangwen village, the Sipi Falls, Natural represents a distinct expression of Ugandan coffee. This lot is processed using the natural method, a technique where the coffee cherry is dried intact around the bean. Generally, natural-processed coffees are known for their heavier body and pronounced fruit-forward profiles, often resulting in a more intense sweetness compared to washed counterparts.

Roasted by Five Senses, this specific selection highlights a complex, vibrant character. The cup profile is defined by boozy, rum-like qualities balanced by notes of raisins and dried fruit, alongside a sparkling acidity reminiscent of tropical fruit. When evaluating these nuanced characteristics, enthusiasts often find it helpful to consult a flavor wheel to better identify and articulate the specific sensory experiences found within the cup. This coffee serves as a compelling example of the unique potential found within the Sipi Falls region.
