Context
The Ethiopia Mullugeta Muntasha Natural, sourced by Onyx Coffee Lab, represents a distinct expression of the Bursa region. As a natural-processed coffee, this lot reflects the traditional processing methods common to the area, where the coffee cherry is dried intact around the bean. Generally, natural-processed coffees from Ethiopia are celebrated for their potential to develop intense, fruit-forward profiles and a syrupy body, often contrasting with the cleaner, more acidic characteristics found in washed counterparts.
Produced by Mullugeta Muntasha, this selection highlights the specific terroir of Bursa. When evaluating the complexities of such a unique origin, it is helpful to reference the flavor wheel to better identify the nuanced aromatics and taste descriptors present in the cup.
